Why use tinysqueeze

Completely free

No paid tier, no feature restrictions, no account required.

100% local

Runs via WebAssembly in your browser — images never leave your device.

No file-size limit

Bounded only by your computer's performance, unlike tools that cap at 5MB.

No batch-count limit

Drop in hundreds or thousands at once, or a whole folder.

Common use cases

Speed up your website / shop

Images are usually the heaviest part of a page. Batch-compress or convert to WebP/AVIF for visibly faster loads and lower CDN bills.

Social & marketplace images

Many platforms cap image sizes and recompress anything over the limit, wrecking quality. Compress locally first and stay in control of how your images look.

iPhone HEIC to JPG

Many apps can't open Apple's HEIC format. Drop photos in to batch-convert them to universal JPEG/WebP — and shrink them at the same time.

Archive albums / cloud storage

Drag in whole folders, compress in batch, and download a ZIP that keeps your folder structure — the same storage holds several times more photos.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All compression happens locally in your browser via WebAssembly — images are never uploaded and never leave your device.

Is there a file size or batch count limit?

There's no fixed limit. Since everything runs locally, file size and how many images you can process at once are only limited by your own computer's performance and memory — unlike some online tools whose free tier caps files at 5MB and batches at 20 images.

What image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF (iPhone photos), TIFF, GIF, BMP, and RAW formats from most cameras (ARW/CR2/CR3/NEF/DNG, etc.).

Will compression hurt image quality?

JPEG/WebP/AVIF use lossy compression tuned to be visually near-indistinguishable by default, and you can pick High quality or Smart auto (which searches for the just-right quality per image); PNG gets lossless optimization by default — pixels stay identical.

Can it convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG?

Yes. HEIC/HEIF files are decoded locally and re-encoded — JPEG by default, or WebP/AVIF if you prefer — no need to convert them on your phone first.

Do I need to install anything or sign up?

No. It works right in the browser — no download, no account, no ad pop-ups.

Does it work on phones?

Yes, the page is responsive and works in mobile browsers; for large batches or big files a desktop is faster.

Is this tool free?

Yes, completely free, with no paid tier or feature restrictions.
